Our Post Day of Service will be on May 7, 2026.  Activities will commence at 1000.  We have two opportunities to support.

 

Track 1 - Supporting Therapeutic Riding of Tri-Cities (TROT).  TROT has some Veteran Therapeutic Therapy sessions.  There is a possible opportunity to work with horses or provide other necessary support for TROT activities.  POC:  Chuck Forrester 509-539-0067 cforre2@yahoo.com

 

Some options for that day include:

 

1) Supplying and Planting the Garden beds 

2) Update the Sensory course

    - update the sound board with new, working sound items

    - improve magnetic board

    - Fix birdhouse activities or replace with new activities

3) Replace Trail Bridge - boards and frame are weakening

4) Weeding Facility

5) General Clean up

 

Track 2 - Cleanup activities at the three Veteran Memorials in Kennewick.  This prepares the memorials for upcoming Memorial Day activities.  The Memorials are 1) Vietnam Veterans Memorial - on Gum St near the Lampson Building, 2) American Legion Memorial in Columbia Park near Hwy 240, and the Regional Veterans Memorial in Columbia Park near the Columbia River.  POC:  Kevin Veleke cougfive@aol.com.
